The Winners of Style Obsession Announced

On December 17th, Boca Beauty Academy exposed their best and brightest star students to hundreds who turned out for a first-hand preview of 2010's red carpet runway style. Since announcing last week's public voting on Facebook, over 100 votes poured in from all over to select their favorites for hair, theme, nails, make up artistry and most of all, creativity!

Each team presented the swankiest styles and fiercest fashion trends. Competition was tight and now Boca Beauty Academy is proud to announce the winners of this year’s "Style Obsession - A Runway Fashion Trends Competition".

Huge Turn Out for Boca Beauty Academy's STYLE OBSESSION Holiday Runway Event

Rain couldn't turn away droves of guests who sought a sneak peak, a preview of the 2010 season for runway style in hair design and make up artistry. Nine student teams presented the trends of Miami, New York and Los Angelos with creative use of color, style, design and fashion. The evening overall showcased the incredible talents of Boca Beauty Academy's students.

Votes were cast for the night's favorites and now its your turn! Online voting is currently being held December 21st to 28th only. Who is your favorite for style, drama, theme and overall? The categories are:

Style Obsession - "The" Holiday Event at Boca Beauty Academy

Tick tock, the mouse runs up the clock to December 17th for the annual party of the year at Boca Beauty Academy. Prepare for an unrivaled season finale showcasing the best and the brightest star students in cutting edge cosmetology, nails and make up artistry.

Guests will enjoy an evening of light hors d'oeuvres, cocktails and cool Miami vibes by deejay OD Blaze. Prepare to experience an exciting style show of the latest artistic creations as seen on the runways of Miami, New York and Los Angeles. Roll out the red carpet, shine the lights, the competition is on! Guests are encouraged to vote for their favorite styles throughout the night.

As South Florida's official Matrix, MAC Cosmetics, OPI and Pevonia school, this exciting evening of beauty and style will set the tone for 2010. Join us as we mix and mingle with the Who's Who in the region.

Boca Beauty Academy Mixes with Paradise Salon of Delray Beach

It was a great night, a surreal setting in the midst of beautiful Pineapple Grove, Delray Beach. Paradise Salon hosted a party welcoming the faculty and students of Boca Beauty Academy.

Partygoers enjoyed fabulous food and drinks and as they mixed with the many salon and spa professionals of Paradise. The evening provided an exceptional opportunity to network with those in the industry.

Matrix Artistic Director, Ammon Carver Visits Boca Beauty Academy

October is an exciting month at Boca Beauty Academy! On Monday, October 12th the region's premier salon owners and stylists participated in an exclusive afternoon with reknown artistic director at Matrix, Ammon Carver. The private event explored the latest in cut and styling as seen on the runways, the media and the oh-so-fabulous celebrities.

The interactive course provided a rare glimpse into the looks and style of 2010 allowing leading cosmetologists to work alongside Carver on the newest techniques and products by none other than Matrix (of course).

The new beautifully-designed campus features more space and the latest state-of-the-art technology for the many courses offered at our academy from cosmetology to electrolysis, microdermabrasion and more.

This spring, Boca Beauty Academy became South Florida’s official Matrix academy featuring the latest products, techniques and curriculum of one of the world’s top salon brands. The celebration will kick off on Monday, September 21st with a by-invitation-only event hosted by Matrix welcoming students, educators, salon and spa owners for an exciting preview of the trends and the upcoming season.
